Summit Agenda
Two days. Every session built with purpose. Nothing on this agenda is filler.
Friday, June 19
Opening Welcome & "2 Years of BBS: What We've Built"
A reflective opening celebrating two years of community building, organizational growth, and collective wins. We ground ourselves in where we've been before charting where we're going.
Fireside Conversation: "From Fragmentation to Coordination"
A candid, unfiltered conversation on the challenge of moving Black organizing from isolated silos to sustained coordination. What does it take? What gets in the way? What have we learned?
Member Spotlights
3–4 BBS members share what they've built, what they've learned, and how the community has played a role. Short, sharp, real.
Networking Breakout Rooms
Choose your room and connect with members who share your context. Rooms organized by Industry, State, Sector, and DAO interest. Facilitated and purposeful — not just an open Zoom.
Closing Thought
A brief close to the evening — a charge for tomorrow.
Saturday, June 20
Opening Ceremony
Summit day begins. We open with intention — grounding the room in the theme, the stakes, and the purpose of the next four-and-a-half hours.
Keynote: "The Next Phase — Building a Self-Reliant Black America"
The anchor session of the summit. A detailed, honest assessment of what self-reliance requires at scale — economically, institutionally, and politically. Not inspiration. A strategy.
State of Black America Panel
A cross-disciplinary panel taking stock of economic conditions, civic power, institutional control, and the gaps that matter most. Data-driven, solutions-oriented, no sugarcoating.
Break
Refresh and prepare for breakout sessions.
Breakout Sessions (Choose 1)
Four parallel sessions running simultaneously. Each is built for depth, not breadth — pick the one that matches your work and stay for real conversation.
Break / Networking
Open networking window. Connect, recharge, continue conversations from breakouts.
EM8 + DAO Deep Dive
An in-depth look at the EM8 ecosystem and the BBS DAO structure — how they're designed, how they work together, and what role members play in governance.
BBS-DAO Roadmap
Unveiling the formal roadmap for the BBS DAO — milestones, working groups, treasury structure, and how members engage. This is not a whitepaper presentation. This is accountability.
Closing Session
We close with clarity. What was decided. What was committed to. What comes next. A charge to every attendee to leave with a specific next action.
Breakout Sessions
Select one track. Each runs simultaneously, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EST.
Real Estate & Institutional Ownership
Strategy for moving from individual property ownership to institutional control — land trusts, commercial real estate, and community development models that scale.
Black Business Coordination
How do we build real supply chains, vendor networks, and cooperative economics among Black-owned businesses? From referrals to infrastructure.
Civic Strategy
Electoral strategy, policy advocacy, and the structures needed to convert community organizing into lasting political leverage.
Wealth & Financial Systems
CDFIs, credit unions, investment clubs, alternative currencies, and DAOs — building financial infrastructure that circulates wealth within the community.
